Tone Community Media Group CIC has announced today (Monday, February 13) that after a recent review by Ofcom (The Office For Communications), the station has been granted a five-year extension for its current FM license.
It allows the station to stay on air until 2028.
It follows an announcement last year that in 2024 The Tone Community Media Group CIC will be launching a digital radio service for the area which ToneFM will also simulcast on, alongside other
broadcasters.
Station director Patch Jobson said: “To have secured another extension for ToneFM, in the same month we celebrate our 10th birthday is great news.
