ONE of Ireland’s top radio bosses has blasted RTE for poaching big names like Ronan Collins and Dave Fanning – and then retiring them “down the corridor” to digital station RTE Gold.
Kevin Brannigan, the Chief Exec of Ireland’s Classic Hits Radio and Radio Nova, claims that Ronan – whose former RTE Radio One show was the most listened-to music show on Irish radio – would have been a perfect fit for Classic Hits.
