Islanders Urged To Snap Up Last Few Funded Places On Digital Weight Loss Program

A digital weight loss program, which has already helped 5,500 residents around the UK lose more than 1,000 stone between them, has 22 funded places remaining for residents of the Isle of Wight.

Currently 2,629 people around the country are either on the gloji programme or about to start. 

The program gives users access to personalised coaching through specially trained health mentors, who are on hand to support by phone as needed. 

It is being made available free to residents of the Isle of Wight by healthy lifestyle and wellbeing service provider Thrive Tribe and the Isle of Wight Council as part of the government’s adult weight management services grant.

On the Isle of Wight, 62.3% of adults are either overweight or obese, which could equate to nearly 76,000 adults.
