Corus In Fiscal Q4? ‘Meaningfully Lower Financial Results’ Arrive

TORONTO — It is the parent of the Global TV network; a collection of Canadian versions of U.S. cable TV networks; 15 broadcast TV stations; and 39 radio stations including “Q107” and “102.1 The Edge” in its home market.

Corus Entertainment is a major player in Canada. It isn’t immune to the recessionary economy and inflation, along with a highly deflated Loonie against the U.S. dollar, that has made its financial health a bit shaky.

The company’s fiscal Q4 results, released late Friday (10/21), were far from stellar.
