Real Estate Investment Trusts, an investment vehicle which will allow developers to raise money, will now become a reality in India after the Union Budget scrapped dividend distribution tax on such vehicles. According to JLL India, there are currently around 229 million sq ft of office space which can be seen as REIT-compliant.
