The United States and its allies may lose more than US$100 billion (HK$780 billion) in excluding 5G networks of Huawei, which is set to launch its ChatGPT-styled product.
Since the US first blacklisted Huawei in 2019 over national security fears, network operators, consultants, economists and governments have expected that the US and its allies will need to pay more to replace the Huawei gear, suffer an economic impact over the delayed 5G service roll-out and accept the higher prices charged by Huawei’s competitors.
