The government is aiming for the world’s first commercialization of 5G mobile communications in 2020, of which service is a thousand times faster than Long Term Evolution (LTE). The government expects that $1.5 billion in joint public-private investment on the commercialization of 5G mobile communications will create a $331 trillion market by 2017.
