Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Onal met with Ambassador David Satterfield late Saturday night to express Ankara’s deep outrage. “Such a statement has no legal basis under international law and has offended the Turkish people, opening a wound that is difficult to heal in our relationship,” the ministry said.
