Abstract Mouse knockouts facilitate the study ofgene functions. Often, multiple abnormal phenotypes are induced when a gene is inactivated. The International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium (IMPC) has generated thousands of mouse knockouts and catalogued their phenotype data.
