CONCORD — State Democratic Party Chairman Chris Spirou says his struggle to regain his financial footing — not his critics — has prompted him to resign as party head. Spirou, 51, will make his resignation official tonight at the party’s quarterly meeting in Concord. He’s leaving to pursue his international consulting business.
