TEHRAN _ On Friday, February 08, International Women’s Day was observed across the world with a solemn pledge to espouse the cause of women’s empowerment and women’s rights. The day was marked by street rallies, conferences, award ceremonies, protests and lengthy statements from world leaders, human rights campaigners and others.
