BEIRUT (Reuters) – The Syrian government rejects the independence referendum organised by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq, Syria’s foreign minister has said. Voting started on Monday in northern Iraq despite intense international and regional pressure to call the vote off.
