Minnesota Public Radio News on Thursday laid off nine newsroom staffers and announced it will eliminate two vacant positions. “The changes announced today for MPR News are part of a series of decisions to reallocate our human and financial resources within the organization,” MPR spokeswoman Angie Andresen said in an emailed statement.
