While University of Wisconsin System President Ray Cross has said it’s too early to know whether proposed state budget cuts will lead to layoffs, he indicated on a radio talk show Thursday morning that will look first at the “back office.” “We want to reduce our costs,”Cross said during the Joy Cardin Show on Wisconsin Public Radio.
