A Knight Foundation Report finds that viewers of public broadcasting – exposed to more public policy-oriented news and current affairs programming – are better-informed, more likely to vote, hold realistic perceptions of their societies, and are less likely to express negative attitudes toward immigrants or to hold extremist political views.
