University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers are working to expand newborn genetic screening for Wisconsin’s Amish and Old Order Mennonite communities. Researchers hope to pinpoint the unique genetic disorders affecting the Plain sect communities in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Public Radio reported.
