Slaughterhouse to pay $1,250 for failing to stun animals

A Vermont slaughterhouse that officials say failed to properly stun animals before slaughter has agreed to pay the state more than $1,000. Vermont Public Radio (http://bit.ly/2uD6UAj ) reports that Vermont Packinghouse in Springfield and the Agency of Agriculture have agreed to a $1,250 payment to settle the violations.
