Pirate radio pioneers Radio Caroline’s legacy 40 years from shock Kent coast sinking

It was the Pirate Radio ship that sent shockwaves through British broadcasting and launched some of the biggest DJs in the business. But 40 years ago this week the Mi Amigo sank in a storm after rocking Britain with Radio Caroline. DJs Stevie Gordon and Tom Anderson were among those playing the cool underground sounds the BBC refused to air.
