The WWII maritime forts rusting their way to a watery grave

Built on international waters and away from the pesky British broadcasting laws, but close enough to the shore for a signal to reach eager listeners, the fort would be home to the station for four years before shutting down. During that time the pirate radio station would be shaken by the shooting of its manager in a dispute over ownership.
