Whatever happened to the New Zealand TV production industry? Twenty-six years ago, broadcasting deregulation and the creation of New Zealand on Air were promoted by the local independent TV production industry. Some influence moved from TVNZ to local entrepreneurs, who for a time created truly indigenous independent television.
