How did you start focusing on countries outside of the US About three years ago, we were at 500 million monthly users. We started thinking how the product was getting in the way of those wanting to use Instagram. We identified a few things. Our app was using a lot of data, so it was difficult to use if you did not have a perfect LTE connectivity.
