W hat, you might think, is the point of the BBC having a whole radio network, 4 Extra, for its old programmes when it also has Sounds? I don’t know, but I would guess it’s because 4 Extra serves traditional radio listeners, and Sounds is for people discovering the wonders of audio but actually listening via phones, tablets, laptops and the like.
