Editorial: Don’t encrypt county radio traffic without proof it is necessary

If law enforcement agencies in Deschutes County are going to encrypt their radio traffic, they need to come up with better examples of why it is necessary. Public safety is a partnership with the public. The relationship is not improved by concealing or delaying what police officers are doing.
