(ANSAmed) – ROME, FEBRUARY 27 – At least 20 of the over 350 Christians taken hostage by the Islamic State (ISIS) in northeastern Syria in recent days have been killed, Syriac Catholic patriarch Ignace Youssif III Younan told Vatican Radio on Friday. He added that at least 3,000 Christians, many of whom Syriac Catholics, had fled the villages.
